road trip
Four New York City girls took a day road trip up to Millbrook, New York. En route we stopped at Bottle Shop Antiques in Salt Point and got lost in all the amazing treasures. My favorite part (probably not surprising) was discovering the sink faces. Who knew sinks could have mustaches?
Next stop was downtown Millbrook where it felt like we walking into a movie set. Flags were flying high, lawns were manicured, families were lining up on the curb with their lawn chairs and kids were going crazy with excitement for…a Fireman’s Carnival and Parade! Fire trucks from nearby towns in all sizes and shapes turned on their flashers, people marched in uniforms, bands performed (even bagpipers). There was also a parade judge. But it begs the question, if all the fire people and fire trucks were here, what happens if there was a fire?
