Getting Ready

Safety Cone is getting ready for the trip overseas! He’s proudly wearing his new viking hat that is a replica of the hat I made for my Danish party. This creation was made by my craftastic friend, Alicia, who is the crochet queen. Check out her awesome crafts and follow her safety cone adventures.

deep thoughts

I created a few more PDF templates that are available in my shop. Maggie was kind enough to model the thought bubble. The templates are blank for you to fill in your own drawings or sayings. These can also be laminated and used with magic erase markers.

paper party crafts

Say hello to the Zinnia Cupcake Toppers and Garlands, a new line of paper party crafts in my shop. It combines all my favorite hobbies: design, craft and photography and best of all you only need basic craft supplies and a printer to make. My goal is to create unique party crafts that are easy to assemble and under $10. I can customize the designs to be in any color or can make a new design just for you. Email me for details.

the camera says…

Remember this doggy? I’ve had the chance to make a few custom orders in my etsy shop. Say hello to Mr. Yellow Lab, Miss Kitty and Mr. Bee. They’ve been a lot of fun to make and even more fun seeing them in action. Check out Mr. Yellow Lab for Heidi’s Powershot SX10 IS on her blog!

Heart Toppers

Ahh, so cute! I think all cupcakes look even more adorable when they have a fun little topper.

send a ’stache

Yeah, my mustache obsession still continues. This felt mustache card is perfect to send for any occasion and now you can make your own! Check out the FREE PDF on my downloads page.

heart card set

Yeah, I know. It’s early. I went to Michael’s the other day and was drawn to the all the red, pink and heart craziness. Luckily I was able to restrain myself but I certainly was tempted. There’s something about hearts that are just so darn cute! Anyway, sometimes an idea will pop into my head and it won’t go away until I create it. So viola. Here are two valentines you can create at home. Check out the FREE PDF in the downloads page. Enjoy!

bubbles and clouds

Apparently I like bubbles over my bed. In my Brooklyn apartment I painted chalkboard paint and doodled inside the thought bubble. In the guest room at my mom’s I made the felt/linen cloud with raindrops (best thing was that I reused all my mom’s old fabric). I was inspired by this and had to create my own. If you don’t want to deal with recreating a pattern, I have one for sale in my shop. Warning: when making this you are guaranteed to sing “Why does it always rain on me?”.

camera cozy

Because I just had to add some crafty bling to my new camera. I crocheted the case (it attaches at the bottom with a button) and sewed a fabric slip-cover for the camera strap. Update: Selling custom camera cozy’s in my shop.
